Principal, Mr. Paul Kostelnik
Mr. Kostelnik is a 1996 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School where he attended since kindergarten. After graduation, Mr. Kostelnik accepted an Athletic/Academic Scholarship to Westminster College where he played football and majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Economics. Mr. Kostelnik accepted a position as a Financial Advisor/Analyst with AXA-Advisors the day after he graduated from college in May 2000. During his time with AXA-Advisors, Mr. Kostelnik coached football at Chartiers-Houston, his alma mater, for 5 years. It was at this time he realized he should have been an educator and enrolled at California University of PA. Mr. Kostelnik received his Masters of Arts in Teaching, certified in Mathematics 7-12, in December 2005.
Mr. Kostelnik’s first teaching job was at Northgate High School. This is where he taught Algebra II and PSSA Prep. The summer of 2006 Mr. Kostelnik was hired at Washington School District and taught Mathematics for 7 years. In 2013 Mr. Kostelnik was hired as an administrator and worked in Washington’s central office where created and ran their cyber program. Mr. Kostelnik was also the districts PIMS Administrator and Child Accounting Supervisor during this time. During the first 9 years at Washington, Mr. Kostelnik also coached football every year and baseball for 5 years. The last two years Mr. Kostelnik has been the High School Principal and cyber school coordinator grades K-12.
Mr. Kostelnik has been happily married to his wife Stacey for nine years who is a MRI Technologist for Washington Hospital. They have two sons together Chase (15)a Sophmore at the High School and Colt (13) who starts 7th grade this year.
Mr. Kostelnik is very excited to start his 8th year at Trinity School district as a Middle School Principal. “I’m very excited to start the 24-25 school on the best campus in Washington County.” With our updated school and the new Intermediate building we can expect great things for our students. “My goal as a principal is to ensure that every student that enters through our doors gets the best education possible to ensure they can be as successful as possible when they exit them.”
